Red Table

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I'm still so stuffed and oh so tired of turkey. I had to put the last of it in the freezer and I'll make turkey soup in a few weeks when the thought of it won't be quite so distasteful. I didn't go anywhere but the thrift store on Black Friday. Nothing ever seems like such a good deal to make me want to mess with the crowds at the mall or the marts!

I did paint this little round table last week. I moved it from my downstairs family room upstairs and I moved the table that was originally there downstairs. I've had this table for about 12 years and got it from the thrift store. Here's the before

I also added a bit of black pom pom fringe to this little black lamp and I like it so much better! I really love pom pom fringe - it always makes me smile when I see it!

I put all my fall decorations away and I'm starting to pull out some Christmas things. I've decided not to do too much this year. Usually I redo my china cabinet and put away a shelf of dishes and bring out all the old decorations but I just am not in the mood this year.

I made that plate by using some rub on transfers from Hobby Lobby - so easy!

I've been itching to paint a piece of furniture red ever since last year when I decided NOT to paint my dining room chairs red - and now I have!

your plate and jar full of glass balls are so nice!
I don't plan on doing as much Christmas decorating this year either, I am thinking a few really pretty and simple things will suit me best anyway.

looking forward to seeing more of your decorating......

Really enjoy your blog. What is the
paint name you used on the table?

Beautiful!! I have been itching to find a chair to paint red and put a new red toile seat on. I have to head to some thrift stores this week. I love what you did. It's so fun to do these frugal and easy little projects that really inspire the home. Nice job, Manuela!

I love the table redo! Looks great and so does the lamp and the plate.

I do not like the Black Friday Crowds either. Did go to Micheals for a photo prop, but they just sold the last one as I got there...

It looks good. I really need a little round table, I will have to keep my eyes open or make one soon. I also love the apothecary jar.

Hi Manuela, I love the red table, so cute! And the lamp looks great. I think I am going with a simpler, cleaner Christmas look this year. SO many things have changed around here, I am having a hard time getting in the mood for all the fluffing and frills.

Hi Manuela,
what a cute little table. Red is perfect for it and I like the vignette you put on top of it. We just recently got our first Hobby Lobby here and I will have to try the rub on transfers on a plate, that looks just too cute.
Have a wonderful evening,
Tam

Love the table! You were brave with the red,it looks great, the lamp too. The apothecary jar of ornaments, just lovely. I bought a few apothecary jars and they are just sitting in the cabinet. I need to do this! I also love to use old blue-green mason jars and put a small string of colored lights in it and plug it in the kitchen.

Looks like you've been busy. I made a casserole tonight with the last of the turkey. It feels good to have it used up. Your table turned out great. Mimi

Love the shape of that table and that you painted it red! I'm not doing a lot of decorating this year either. I'm just not in the mood and it just seems so overwhelming. I'm going to keep it simple:)

Manuela, your red table is gorgeous! What a nice change for your table and it sure adds a nice touch of red. I'm hoping to simplify my decorations a bit this year but as my sweetheart is bringing boxes down from the attic as I write this I'm remembering how I love every single thing! If I remember that I have to put it all away it will help my resolve.

Love the little red table, very Christmas-style. And the plate too. I tried to make one myself, some time ago, but it didn't turn out so well, I have to say!

I don't blame you for not doing the cabinet again. It looks so pretty now.

I love your red table. I really like how red can make a room come alive. I've decided not to do much decorating this year too. We'll see if I change my mind.

I think you've been over to my place enough to know how much i LOVE red. Which means I adore your "new" little table. And the pom-poms are a darling, cheerful touch. : )

Manuela, I love the red table. I've been wanting to paint something, too. I have two pieces I need to paint, my TV stand in the FR and the shelves in my bathroom. I just haven't done it, but of course you inspire that creativity in all of us! Thank you for the motivation and inspiration!

I love your red table. I painted a vanity table red about 28 years ago. I still love it.
