Gardening Book Winner

lettuce
(lettuce, peas and marigolds from last spring)

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend. We were so hot here in Atlanta! It’s been very unusual but at least I’ve gotten quite a bit done in the front and backyard.

This is my veggie garden last spring. I’ve added another fenced area this year which I’ll share with you in the future.

I’m so thrilled that so many of you are planning a garden this year! I’m happy to announce that…….

The winner of the gardening book is Erica @ Super Duper Coopers! Congratulations! She and her family just moved into their very first house so hopefully this will help her set up her first garden. Erica, please email me your address and I’ll get the book in the mail next week.

I also was  a lucky winner of a giveaway recently! I won this beautiful white box from Marianne @ Songbird. It was filled with the most delicious chocolate Easter eggs (which I can’t show you because I ate them all LOL)

Isn’t it pretty! On the top is a faux flower that she dipped in plaster.  Thank you Marianne, I really love it!

I’ll be back tomorrow with some finds from the thrift store and we’ll see if I find anything at the after Easter clearance sales today!

I saw that you had won that nice gift from Marianne. Don't you just love her blog? At first I saw your pics of the garden and thought: Oh no, I'm hopelessly behind on vegetable planting! But then you mentioned it was last year! Whew!

LOOK at your gorgeous garden!!! I have the space for one but hubby isn't interested in having one. So, I will just do a couple of tomato plants and I think I am going to try potatoes. I would also like to do a strawberry pot. Congratulations to the winner.

We've been working out in our veggie garden this weekend too. I need to try and plant more lettuce before it gets too hot. Love your veg beds :)

Your garden looks amazing. You must get some awesome fresh veggies from that one.
I am glad you liked the chocolates (and the box).

Oh durn, I hate that I missed an opportunity to win that book! I might just have to check it out. :)

I am loving the sunshine but not looking forward to the summer heat and the mosquitos. :(

My Sweet Girl and I planted a few things we dug up from our old house and she is anxious to plant zinnias and other flowers as well.

Have to figure out a small garden spot too! I best get moving, huh? :)

OH do I LOVE your garden!! I am jealous- our yard is too shady for a big garden anymore- I am just looking for a sunny spot for some containers!
