Apple Green

candle1
My closet re-organization has morphed into a bigger project than I originally anticipated (isn’t that always the way)! So I found myself at IKEA this week looking at bookcases for my bedroom and bookcases for my daughter’s room. Somehow I always wind up at IKEA in January!
fern

I picked up three little pots of  what they labeled  “fern assortment” but they look mossy to me.

CANDLES
I also got some apple green candles which I’ve been wanting (they smell sooo good – flowery not appley). I put them in some white butter pats and wrapped a bit of ribbon around each.
Coffetable

I re-did my coffee table display because everything except for the Amaryllis is done for. I think I’ll see if I can find some white Primroses to add or maybe some other small flowering plant.
THROW
A nice soft throw in apple green. It was only $3.49! I couldn’t pass it up. It’s cozy and my favorite green!

I took lots of pictures at IKEA because they had a lot of new things and I’ll post those pictures over the weekend. I haven’t had a chance to go through them yet. They’ve got some crazy looking new stuff, but also some really great pieces.

It warms my heart that you take time out of your busy day to stop by! I truly appreciate that.

I can't say enough good things about your blog! It's amazing how u do so much with so little! So, I have decided myself that I will start working more on my house. Today, I decorated my mantle and made a valentine's tree. It looks awesome... tomorrow it's off to the thrift store! I can't wait! Just wanted to tell u... u have inspired me to do something and that's quite an accomplishment since this is January and usually I don't want to do anything! lol

I love the touch of green. Maybe I will have to make a trip to Ikea next week when I'm down in San Diego to take care of my mom. Ikea usually isn't my style, but they sometimes have something I can live with. And I love the ferns you picked up. And the candles, and the throw. So I guess I'll have to go now.

Your coffee table looks so fresh--a breath of spring anticipation. I love to visit with you and get some inspiration (and motivation). All your ideas are wonderful. Looking forward to the IKEA pics. I don't have one near me--and I'm such a homebody I won't drive the 50 miles or so to the one in Orlando. But I'll check out your pics and see what I can improvise.

OH! I love apple green! And doesn't it pair just lusciously with red? Looks wonderful with cobalt blue, too. And there you pretty much have all my favorite colors. Yummy-yum-yum.

There's an IKEA in Charlotte, just about two hours away from my house. I've been thinking I should make the trip over there. Would you say it's worth the trip?

Have a wonderful weekend, Manuela!

I'm so jealous that you have an IKEA close by. The closest one to me is 6 hours away! When my husband goes on business trips I always try to get him to find an IKEA near by and grab some goods. However, the new charge for heavier luggage has really put a damper on it! Can't wait to see the pictures. It might just be time for a road trip!
