Spring Fireplace Mantel

banner
Hello everyone!  I took down my frosty winter mantel display and replaced it with a cheerier spring look. My husband was convinced that it was my winter banner that was prolonging winter in Georgia!

banner3

                          I changed it from this

FPL1

                                          to this.

It all started with some moss balls I found at Michael's. They're $4.99 each (I had one 40% off coupon)! If you’ve ever purchased a plain stryrofoam ball you know that’s a deal!

Yellowplate
The moss topiaries are from Goodwill. I painted the pots white (they were a dark green) and added some moss on the top.

I made a cute spring banner from some scrapbook paper, polka dot cupcake liners and green pom poms.

Greenbirdhouse

I’ll tweak my mantel and add a few Easter things towards the end the month.

I’m linking to Susan’s Metamorphis Monday and Marty’s Table Top Tuesday. Thank you so much to both ladies for organizing these parties. Be sure to go to their blogs to see other participants!

Oh heavens if that was what was postponing spring in GA I'm glad your husband talked you into changing your banner out! ;)

Love that beautiful yellow plate on the mantel too!

I'm chuckling here because I'd forgotten how perfectly frosty looking your winter mantel and banner were. Your husband may have a point! It was lovely, but spring is just around the corner (even in Georgia ;> ). It's always fun to see where your creative genius takes you...cupcake liners...who knew?!

We moved in six months ago and all I have on my mantle is two empty candlesticks and a vase with pinecones. Please pity me. When you are done, keep sending me good ideas like this one so I can make my mantle pretty and not plain and ugly like it is now.

Really Wonderful Manuela! I was thinking my mantel needed a birdhouse, and now I know for sure it does! You are very creative, love the banner, it's stunning!

Manuela, how cute is this?? So fresh, so springy.

And girl, what a steal on those moss balls. I made my own moss balls by covering styrofoam balls from Michael's with moss. You're right: the plain styrofoam balls are expensive!

Hope you have a great day!

Following you from Beneath Naps On The Porch.

Love the Spring Fireplace Mantel! I wish I had a fireplace. They are not too common here in Florida. We could have used one this year with the record cold.

Your mantel makeover is so pretty. What a darling spring garland. Sending blessings your way for a wonderful week. :) TAmmy
