Hello! I got tired of waiting for things to bloom so I took matters into my own hands.
You know those sticks from my yard that had hearts hanging off them for Valentines Day? Well, they’ve bloomed cute flowers in cheerful colors! Amazing but true!
They had help from me, of course! I made some paper flowers from tissue paper and pipe cleaners. I didn’t take any photos of how I made them since I did it last night while watching a few episodes of "The Tudors” on Netflix. But here’s a good link in case you want to try it. They’re easy to make and I just hooked the ends of the pipe cleaners around the sticks. You can see one sticking out in the photo below – oops LOL!
One day (soon I hope), spring will finally come to Georgia and the rest of the U.S. Hasn’t this been THE longest winter ever!
I know this project isn't for everyone, but it puts a smile on my face!

Those are so cute! I keep my sunroom filled with plants - so that helps. I also started some pepper plants and herbs from seeds, so that's my way of bringing spring in.
It's supposed to warm up and be nice and sunny this weekend! YAY!!

You know, those spray white painted sticks look like a great idea. My yard is full of them and I have plenty of white and black spray paint. I think I'll add it to my DIY list. :) Thanks for the idea.
I think they are great! I use to make the giant paper flowers out of tissue paper when I was a teenager. It was big back then to make large ones to fill great a large vase that sat on the floor. Too fun!

How very cute. I, too, am ready for Spring. I just returned from Kirkland's where I used a gift card from Christmas to purchase some awesome silk flowers and a clearance container that made a great vase. I'll be showing it on Thursday in the next living room segment.

Your spring flowers are very sweet, and the mirror really enhances them.
I remember making those when I was a kid. Some of them can look so real. Spring is taking its sweet time here isn't it? I can't believe that we got snow this past Tuesday too. Hopefully, we will have a nice warm weekend, but the weather guy on AM750 said to expect storms next week! I guess that is what happens in March! Let's just hope we won't have a blizzard again!!

This has been a long winter. I'm in Alabama, so we usually get the same weather that you do...we just get it first! The intermittent warm weekends are making the cold weekdays that much harder to bear! Thanks for sharing your adorable Springy flowers...so bright and cheerful!
I am so ready for spring! Here in Alabama it has been so cold for us!! I am actually tired of snow and I thought I would never say that and we have only had a few inches. You can tell I am a southern gal!

Your flower tree for Spring came out good! Are you planting bulbs this year, or the ones you planted last year coming up? My tulips are up. Would like some more loofah Seeds? I will be glad to send you more. I usually plant mine when I got to plant my gourds in later April and most of the time I planted them in mid-May for that was when I would get to come home from working/traveling. They did well.

Spring has actually arrived here in Oregon - we weren't hit with the freak weather that seems to be plaguing everyone else. I'm posting some photos of all the beautiful blooms later this afternoon.
