More Fall Decorating Ideas

Hi everyone! I’m trying to find time to post and visit but I won’t lie  - it’s not easy right now. I don't think I've ever been this busy in my life!

Anyway,  I thought I’d share some photos of some fall decorating ideas that I’ve done in the past.
pumpkinleaf
I love using natural elements such as leaves

fallbookcase 028
and

acornkeys
pinecones!
littlehouse 005
They’re so easy to find!

In this mantle (from last year) I used an old print I found at Goodwill as the inspiration.

As you can tell, I don’t really use too much orange inside my home. There are more colors to fall than just orange!

The photo above is from 2007/8. Before I painted my mantel white. You can see in the photo below that I used the pumpkin patch sign again last year.

This is last year out on my screened porch. This year I used that red birdcage in my living room and filled it with a bunch of mismatched white dishes.

blackpumpkins
To end I just wanted to show you the pumpkins I painted black back in 2007 (in the jar) and everyone thought I was crazy! I was at Target last week and what are they selling....black pumpkins!

Hope you all enjoyed seeing some fall decorating from the past. It was fun for me to look through the old photos!

I'm almost done painting my old tv armoire so I hope to be able to show it off soon.

Thanks for dropping by!

Loved seeing your Fall decor of the past. I am not big on orange either, and the only time you will see it around here is this time of the year.
Take care.

I was laughing at the black pumpkin thing too. They are just catching up to what we bloggers already knew! Black pumpkins are the rage! I bought more black spray paint...teeeheee...and hubby told me the store called wanting to know why I was buying so much spray paint! I bought it at first...I have bought alot! But it
is to spray the pumpkins black...he was a little shocked!
Oh well.
Have a blessed day. YOur decor is adorable.

It is always so inspiring to visit your blog, Manuela. Today was no exception. I especially love the pinecone in the teacup and the little flowerpots spelling NEST. Soo cute. Good luck getting everything done.

I love how you don't decorate the same way each fall. It's so tempting to get your things out and arrange them the way you did the previous fall. You always find a different place for your accessories. I can tell that if I visited you, it would take hours to really see and admire your special touches.

Did you do the "Nest" pots, too, Manuela? I love everything and I'm glad you were able to share some of your past Fall decorating while you prepare your house for sale. I loved seeing it!

Debbie said...

See, the great thing about living in a Manuela world, is that even your "old stuff" is eye candy.

I love those pumpkins in the pots with "NEST" on them the best! I could do that!! I also love the key with the little pinecone. You are just so artistic and clever!!

I'm in the understanding mode about being busy. I've got nothing on my plate compared to you, but I feel like I don't have time to sit and enjoy my inspiration blogs like I want to.

Hrmph!!

Oh, and I'm hoping all is going well with the home sale.

FROM MANUELA:

Yes I did make those pots tht say "NEST". I just took little pots painted them and used some Martha Stewart stick on letters. Very very easy! They could say "Fall" etc instead.

You must be doing a lot of painting on your home, too, as you get ready to sell your home.

Probably there are people who visit blogs for the big ideas like painting pumpkins black. You are definitely ahead of the trends and always have something delightful for us to see.

I love those black pumpkins!! What a great idea. :)

All of your decorations, both past and present, have been an incredible inspiration to me.

Remember to take some time for yourself even though I know how busy you are. (and by taking time for yourself I really mean, spending time here in blogland with us! ;p Tee Hee!)

Can't wait to see your armoire!

You are amazing, thank you for sharing your ideas. I get inspired with each post. I'm buying my spray paint this weekend to paint candlesticks from Goodwill that I've been picking up. I'm doing them in black to go with several holidays. Thanks.

You come up with such great ideas each year, so it's always good to see what you have done in the past as well as what you're doing now. Hope things slow down for you soon. laurie
