Hi everyone! I've been looking for a mirror that I can use on top of the storage chest that I use in my living room for sometime now and finally found one that fits the top exactly! I've been looking for almost 6 months! I usually keep things in a some sort of tray so that it's easy to remove.
I had my husband pre-drill the holes for the handles. Be sure you choose handles that have the screws that go on from the top. So many handles now screw on from behind. I love how the mirror reflects whatever is on it and I think it works especially well with candles! You could do this with a picture frame also.
Some of you may remember when I found that huge harlequin candle at Goodwill this summer. Well Aniko bought the same candlestick I believe the same week and didn't really have any use for it and then sent it to me! Now I have two! Thank you so much! Look how perfect it looks! You can click to enlarge to get a better look.
I didn't pay full price for any of those candlesticks or candles. The square harlequin candle I got at Hobby Lobby this spring when they were having that crazy clearance sale. $2.30 for that cute candle!
The two smaller harlequin candles I got from another blogger last year, the large black one in the middle I got at Hobby Lobby at half price as well as those two cute votives. Items with harlequins are things I'm always on the lookout for and black is such a basic thing in my home that when I find something on clearance I buy it because I know it will work.
When I think about it, this whole arrangement has been in the making for at least a year! Patience is truly a virtue and helps with the budget!
I also want to thank Matty from Lazy Bee Farm for this cute acorn that she knitted!
She showed them on her blog and I commented that I wish I could knit so that I could make cute things like this and she sent me one! Thank you so much! It's just adorable! I truly do wish I could knit, but for some reason I just can't get the hang of it. Last year I taught myself to crochet and that comes much easier to me!
It's pouring rain in here in Georgia (which we truly do not need)! I hope everyone has a lovely day. I think it's a good day to stay inside and catch up on some reading!

Thank you for flaunting ~ I mean sharing ~ your harlequin candles! ; ) You know I love all that harlequin decor and can't even find harlequin scrap paper here, so I can make my own stuff {I'm not very happy with my Michael's craft store}.
Very cute! I have thing for harlequin but can't find it all that often. Darling acorn as well. Blog friends are the best. :)
I want you to come to my house and help me decorate. Everything you do is beautiful and looks like you spent a million dollars!
I want!! =) I love harlequin patterned items. Your display looks gorgeous...something you would see in a fine boutique shop, love it!

This looks so beautiful, just custom! I love the knitted acorn too! The only knitting I can do is just a really loooooooong piece. I can't "make" anything! lol
It is raining here in Alabama too! I grow weary!!
Have a great day!

Great display, Manuela! I like the idea of using a mirror for a tray. It's funny that you see things like that in a book or something, but it really doesn't catch your attention until someone you "know" does it. You have a great patience for planning and pulling a look together.
Audley has been driving through all the rain in Georgia today as he is returning from Augusta. Thankffully, the rain left here mid-morning.
Happy Wednesday!
Jennifer
your arrangement is beautiful! so glad you could use it!
The mirror tray looks so beautiful, and you KNOW I love the black and white of the harlequin candles:>) Another gorgeous idea Manuela~!
So pretty! I love your candlesticks.
Your candle vignette turned out so pretty. Love HL sales. Really wish someone would turn off the faucets around here - suppose to start raining again tonight and tomorrow. Gray and dreary right now.
Patience truly paid off. It looks exquisite! You always seem to ahve a great eye and then create the perfect plan for everything to come together.
That is why you are the homemaker with the 'most'est and BEST IDEAS!:)

Would you mind to tell me where your slipcovered sofa is from? I am wanting one to use in our sunroom. I've been getting opinions from those who have them. How old is yours? Are you happy with how it's held up?
Thanks so much! Love the tray and the candles!
