Pumpkins & Pillows

Hi everyone! I thought I’d pop in to show you the pillowcover I found in my closet that I forgot I had. I think you may have too much stuff when you’re not aware of the stuff you have!
Chair
We’re getting ready for  our garage sale and I was going through the linens I keep in my clothes closet (cause I have nowhere else to keep them) and found this beauty that I think I bought at a sample sale.
pillow
I love pillows that are unusual! Isn't all that detail just too cute!

pillow&pumpkin
Since it’s fall I also thought I’d start adding a few pumpkins.

hydrangeas&pumpkin
This is one I decoupaged years ago. I just used some sheets of red and white harlequin paper on a white pumpkin (or I may have spray painted it white – can’t remember). I set it in an arrangement of fall hydrangeas that I bought last year at the end of the season (Target). I think it originally had some sort of candle holder.

Anyway, decoupaging is a fun way to personalize pumpkins so give it a try this year. The possibilities are endless!

Thanks for dropping by today!

I LOVE that pillow!! So beautiful. I have lot's of stuff in my closet as well that I've "forgotten". I really need to go through it all.

That pumpkin is awesome. Great idea. It looks perfect on there.

Oooh, I love it when that happens, too. Alas, I've moved so often (19 times in 29 years), it never does. Love your pu'nkin. Made a really sharp arrangement.

Love your pumpkin! It reminds of your back porch you did last year but in black. SO pretty!

I also see your transferware your using also. I am ready to get some of mine out.

Oh and the pillow cover is pretty also...all thouse colors.

When are you having a garage sale? I would love to come to yours...it would be so neat with all the beautiful things you have.

I have too much stuff as well and forget things I have or can't find things. I am cleaning out for my own fall yard sale and trying to let go of some items I've held onto for way too long!

If you sell that chair I want it! ;)

Like the pillow, but really like the pumpkin arrangement. Wow - I am really behind in blog hopping these days. Just read where you are selling your home Next Spring. I can relate to the stair issue - have arthritis in both knees and lower back. I am very much aware I will probably have to make a change down the road. Hope the sale and move goes smooth for you.
Have a great weekend.

Love the pumpkin! It's a great change from the traditional orange. The pattern is one of my favorites! Thanks for sharing.

That's it.
I'm going to decoupage a pumpkin.
I love that!!

Another great idea. I love the pumpkin, sometimes you don't want orange. I thought you had painted it but it might be hard to do the pattern on a pumpkin.

That pillow is perfectly you, Manuela! I have never thought to decoupage a pumpkin. Leave it to you to come up with it! I do love to decoupage too. Your house is going to make potential buyers go gaga, you know.

The pillow is adorable. Kind of fun to forget about things so you can rediscover them again isn't it? That harlequin pumpkin is one of my favorite things you have done. I just don't love orange for autumn but taking the pumpkin form and doing something new with it is gorgeous!

The pumpkin in adorable too...and the pumpkin in the cement block is very determined!
Just read your "news" in the post below...hope you find the perfect home soon. Moving isn't fun, but the "blank canvas" to decorate will be!

This has nothing to do with the post since I already commented "up there" somewhere.

I just had to share with you that I actually KNEW that you had done the tin back splash because I love it in your kitchen. When my niece first mentioned wanting to do it, I gave her two thumbs up and told her that it was, "What Manuela had in her kitchen..."

The pathetic part is that she knew exactly what I meant. LOL Then she looked at pictures of yours before doing hers.

Thought that might make you grin.

I recently painted a juggling pin with a harlequin design. I a-d-o-r-e the pumpkin with it. I may be copying you, Manuella!

out of curiosity is it a real pumpkin or one of those styrofoam ones?

I just love your decorations. . .and your chair. I, too, have too many things and sometimes forget what I have. I like the idea of setting the arrangement in a platter. I love platters and have lots of them. I get them at yard sales and thrift stores.
