Show & Tell Friday!

Show and Tell

For other Show and Tell Friday posts please visit Kelli at There's No Place Like Home

One of the best things about blogging is getting to know so many wonderful people I normally wouldn't have a chance to meet! Today I want to share something the wonderfully talented Rosemary of Roses Petite Maison gave me just because she knows I collect redwork and thought I would enjoy them.

She sent me two redwork pillowcovers! One that says "Good Morning" and the other says "Good Night".

Here's a close-up of the design. Beautiful in it's simplicity isn't it!

I love embroidery of all kinds but redwork, also known as Turkey Redwork, is my favorite!

I like the way redwork looks with toile, especially black toile which is what I have in my bedroom. Thanks so much Rosemary!

Also, I promised my daughter that I would show the paper mache polar bear that she made in art. So here's.......Kellog. Isn't he cute! He has such a sweet face!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Oh, how I love redwork. I have a bunch of patterns that I got with the intentions of doing some of my own redwork. Then I couldn't decide which one to do first! Love the polar bear, it's adorable! Your daughter is so talented.

Love the pillow cases. You just don't see this kind of wonderful craft much anymore. I remember my mom's sets were ALL embroidered.

And you tell your daughter she is VERY talented. LOVE the polar bear. I can see why she wanted it shown...she should be very proud of her work! If I were the art teacher, it's a definite A+ grade!!!!

My show and tell is posted now. Come by if you can find time. See you there! Happy Friday, happy show n tell day.

What a wonderful embroidery
job. I wish I had the patients to still do this. I would put my dads name on hie work shirt when I was a kid. It was fun.

Dear Manuela,
I love your redwork pillow covers. They are so beautiful and they go with your black and white toile perfectly! That was so sweet of Rosemary!

I love Kellog! Please tell your dear daughter she did a wonderful job making him and is very talented like her mom!

Thank you for letting me know the name of that shrub, Beauty Berry. That is a good name for it. I am sure your tiny acorns are sweet. I do not know why these are so big, but in our back yard there are some even bigger.

Have a lovely weekend!

Your daughter really did a great job on her bear!! Maybe she could make the red work. Just hoping! If anyone nows where I could get the pattern for the red work pillow case, I would love it so much.
