Of Cabbages & Tablecloths

One day it'll stop raining here in Georgia....right? Anyhoo, isn't that a cute tablecloth? Country Living Collection from KMart (they should pay me for advertising don't you think)!

I have so many things waiting to plant! I got some raspberries two weeks ago on clearance at Lowe's and haven't been able to get them in the ground because of all the rain and a fig and so many other things. I had a few ornamental cabbages that have been sitting around and I decided to put them in this tureen for the time being. Maybe next week the weather will cooperate and I'll be able to plant them outside.

I just took them out of their pots and stuck them in this tureen (which I only use for plants btw).

The pattern on the tablecloth is very similar to the pattern on the little curtain I made for my bookcase buffet don't you think?

I asked for a tripod for my camera as my Christmas present this year but I may change that to some more Country Living Collection dishes and linens! Squeezing your arms really tight against your body and holding your breath seems to work as well as a tripod. I think I can do that for another year~smile!

Have a wonderful weekend and remember that the November book give away starts on Sunday so do check back for that. Just my way of saying thank you to all of you who read this blog and especially all of you who make the effort to comment. I'm not able to get to everyone that leaves a comment and I always feel badly about that! But, as I'm sure you all know, there are only so many hours in a day. So I hope this makes up for it!

I love the tablecloth. Most KMarts around here have gone out of business. I need to see if I can find one nearby! Love your finds.

They should pay you! Especially since I went there after your last post about them and bought my own dishes! Love the tablecloth; I was going to get the one for my set but it was "out of stock".

When I first saw this line a few months ago, I went ga ga! Such cute things! But I restrained myself and didn't buy anything. For me, that is a miracle... Love what you have bought.

We don't have a K-Mart here. But I've recently become aware of this collection and have gone to their website. Yep! I want some too!

After seeing all of your stuff from K-Mart, I keep saying I need to get there. Haven't made it yet - you know 100 miles round trip sometimes seems a long way! Love your things! Would you like some Colorado snow to replace your rain? Take care, Sally

You should be getting paid for the way you post Manuela. :D You know, I'm almost tempted to try the online Kmart and see what I run across. In fact I think I will check that out right now. In the meantime, have a great weekend. Take care.

Thank you so much for coming over to my lil blog!! I don't know how I have missed your wonderful blog before but became a follower so I won't miss anything from now on!

KMART!!!!?? I never knew they had such pretties like your tablecloth! I haven't been to a Kmart since moving to Co 2 years ago- usually just the thrift stores and Ross when we go to the big city for shopping but I might just have to make an extra stop now!

I am in the process of a small kitchen renovation in a red, white and black colour scheme. I've seen all the cute red and white you've picked up from K-Mart and so jealous. K-Mart left Canada years ago but I'll have to hunt one down next time we're down south.
Hope you get a break from all the rain soon.
Have a super weekend,
Shirlee

Manuela, I can't believe you found that at Kmart--even more amazing is what you did with those cabbages in the urn!
Warmly,
Tracey

P.S. I know what you mean about commenting to every comment...sometimes I can do it (time permits) other times I can barely find a moment to blog a post! It's the nature of the beast I suppose. Besides...you are busy getting things done and we are all blessed by the fruits of your labors. xoxo

I love the tablecloth...so pretty with the little ruffle too! We are hard pressed to find the cute things that you have in the States...we have to look harder! Canada is influenced largely by European decorating ideas...and I am not that way inclined. So, I have been known to patch my couch (by cutting the underside of the cushions out) and gluing the patches to the ripped places...beacuse I could not find the suitable (non-European) replacement.

Anyway...long way to say...I love the sweet things you can find in your neck of the woods! :)

Have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,
Camille

K-Mart sure has some cute things! I used to love their Martha Stewart paint. Used it all throughout my last house. Wish they still carried it.

Hi Manuela~
They should pay you. I just might go back in that store now to see that collection.
We had rain for so long, and it is finally not every day now. But we are hoping for a break from the 90* temperatures.
The table and cabbages look wonderful!

I loved the green Martha Stewart Pyrex baking dishes they used to carry. For a while they even had green glasses! I got a few but wish I had gotten more. Last time I went they didn't have anything cute. I guess I should go back...but then maybe I shouldn't. I'd better leave my purse at home when I go! :) This new line is sooo very cute! Jody

Very cute table cloth. I do think Kmart should pay you for advertisement as your post about your dishes has already sent me there. The Country Living collection is adorable! It also all fits so well into your home and makes it look even more warm and cozier!

I had no idea that Kmart carried such adorable things! I am heading to their website right now! :o) I could really use a table cloth for Christmas and not a fast enough seamstress to pull one together myself. :o)
Have a great day.
