I’m doing a little updating and changed out my pillows in my living room. Isn’t this pillow just the cutest! I love the contrast of the red ticking with the white ruffle. I got this pillow slip from etsy and just used one of my existing pillows as the insert.

CLpillows
This pillow is from the Country Living Collection at KMart. I just loved the ruffled edge and of course the color is my favorite shade of green.

Ticking
I’ve had these red ticking pillows since forever. I think they may have been Pottery Barn from about 8 years ago but I’m not sure.  I paired them with some new toile and gingham pillows (pillow slips from ebay). I added some pom pom fringe to these.
toilepillow
Ticking and toile, gingham and toile, also polka dots and toile are all favorite pattern combinations! I've been looking for a polka dot and toile pillow for some time now - I may just have to make one.
sofa
You don’t have to do drastic stuff to get a new look! I made just a few easy and inexpensive changes to get a fresh look in my living room.

Hope you are all having a great week! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Beautiful pillows! I just love throw pillows and I love the way you group yours.

I love the colors in that bouquet. The pillows are very cute. I thought it was interesting that the ticking worked so well with the more sophisticated fabrics. i love ticking. I'm trying to come up with a new look for my den. It's difficult because of the wall of multi-colored books. I thinking I should go with a more subdued room that doesn't fight with the books. The walls in my house are all beigh and I'm beyond painting myself and can't afford to pay, so I have to bring in color in other ways. I'm going to look through you blog you do color so beautifully. Those pillows are so pretty...I love pillows but they are pretty much my husbands arch nemesis, so to him we always have too many and to me, we always have too few! :)

Yay! I'm so excited, I REALLY wanted that book too! :) I LOVE your pillows! I wish I could live with a bunch of pillows, but we only keep 2 out b/c we have a 2 year old and I get tired of picking them up off the floor or in the kitchen, or on his bed, or in the bathtub, or wherever else his little heart leads him to take my darn pillows!

Changing little things and rearranging is sort of like painting. It's cheap but makes a world of difference. I love these colors. They say: "Please come in and visit. You're welcome here."

Hi Manuela! So good to hear from you! I think your pillows look so pretty, and the fresh colors just makes me want to make over a room. But of course I can't keep changing everytime I see something that I love. I often wish I had enough rooms that I can decorate each in all of my favorite styles. LOL!!! Deb
