“Show Us Your Roosters” Party!

Hi everyone! Today is the Second Annual “Show Us Your Roosters Party” hosted by Barb @ Bella Vista. She has all the  party participants listed on her sidebar so be sure to pay her a visit so you can go see some more roosters strut their stuff!

cabinet
I do love my roosters! So here are a few around  the house. There’s a red rooster in the cabinet.

roosterprint
I got this print on clearance at  Hobby Lobby a few months ago.

blackrooster
My black rooster/chicken? I don’t know – sometimes I don’t know if it’s a chicken or a rooster LOL!

dishrack
The plates from KMart’s Country Living Collection.

CLPlates
Love these and I wonder what their new fall collection will be like?

poultryshelf
This is my shrine to poultry. Just kidding! This is a window valance that I found in a neighbors garbage. It fits perfectly over the doorway and it's a great place to display all my little poultry knick knacks.

DRtray
One of my favorite trays in my dining room!

rooster
My white rooster in the foyer. If you find a rooster that you like but the color is all wrong...just spray paint him! That's what I did with this one!

redrooster
My little red roster and some vintage blocks.

Roostertopiary
This rooster topiary is from Michael’s end of season sale. $4.99 on clearance!
greenframe
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my roosters!

There’s still time if you haven’t entered the August Book Give Away. Hop on down to the post below and leave a comment. It ends Friday evening (6/6)!

Oh I'm so excited!! I have the same print that is in your cabinet! I also bought it at HL for I think $6 on the 80% sale! I also have been watching those salad plates at K-mart! They are 9.99 online but then you have to pay shipping. I am holding out! Love all your wonderful roosters! Beautiful home!

Woot! Love them ALL...I have so many roosters and chickens in the house...I'm not even gonna try. Because we used to have chickens for real...they started to accumulate inside the house too. I have had to let a lot of them go....gah...tooooo many. I LOVE LOVE your topiary! Too cute...I have a tray that has chickens and chicks but also ducks ..."farm fowl"...I am keeping my eye open for one like yours too. If we wait long enough, we will find them, yes??? :-) :-) There's fun in the wait, too. Hope you have a great weekend. Loved my visit, as ALWAYS!!! Hugs...

I have to say it yet again: I want to visit your home and just walked around taking notes. It's all perfectly wonderful!

I want to copy that wooden valance over your doorway.

And I LOVE the topiary!!!

I knew your rooster post would be fabulous.

I just love your house and the way you decorate, of course you know I "steal" ideas all the time. :)

My mom used to think it was funny that I decorated with "all things rooster" because I was terrified of the rooster we had in the country growing up. With good reason, too!

I don't have as many items as I once did when I was going through what Stephanie called my "poultry fetish" period but I still have a lot (including this year hanging up a "Rooster" calendar).

Oh, I LOVE your roosters. You have a beautiful home!

Manuela, you have an amazing collection of fowl! I love the tray, wowie. I should've bought those K-Mart dishes when I first saw them. But I rationalized that I just didn't need another set of dishes. LOL
Always love seeing your home, my friend.
hugs, Sue

I like how you have your roosters displayed, Manuela! The one hanging on the cabinet door was a great find. Love the dishes ~ I have a different Country Living collection set {which I wound up buying because of you!}, but I'm curious now to see this new Fall collection.

Such cute poultry you have!

My only rooster is the one who lives next door and thinks it's his duty to escape his yard everyday and come to our window and cocka-doodle-do at 5:00a.m. He's a little confused as to whose alarm clock he is supposed to be!

He's better than the other one they used to have. He chased me to my door pecking at my legs. Mean guy! He's in their freezer now for obvious reasons.

That's my rooser collection!

P.S. When I grow up I want a house just like yours!

Oh my gosh, Manuela, I totally love your roosters. Especially the black rooster/hen/rooster? you have. He/she is fantastic! ;-) LOL

And the red rooster, too. He's stunning. I really like him as well. And your cabinet with all the whites and reds, just gorgeous.

I hope you are having a fabulous rooster day!

Cindy said...

Your roosters are darling, dear Manuela, and yes you do have a "hen" or two in there. If you are ever in a barnyard of chickens you will figure out real fast which are roosters and which are chickens. The rooster strut around with their big red combs on their heads and they are definitely in control! My folks raised chickens when I was a kid and I got to feed them.
