Flaunt Your Red!

Nancy at Southern Lady is having a Flaunt Your Red party and since I love red and have so many red items in my home I'm thrilled to participate! Above is a vintage sconce I have in my living room with some red crystals. I used to change out the crystals for different seasons but now I just keep them red.

I just found this red rooster plate and a bowl at Goodwill. I wish they had more than those two pieces!

These vintage red plaid tins are on top of one of my bookcases.

My favorite - red transferware!

I use lots of red material in my home, mostly toile but also some gingham. This is the top of a little curtain I made to hide what I store in this small buffet. The bottom of the curtain in black gingham which doesn't photograph well (it's all wavyish).

We're ending kind of backwards since this is my red front door and my favorite red rose.

Flaunt your Red Party

Be sure to check out the other Flaunt Your Red participants! Thank you Nancy for hosting such a fun party!

Just a reminder - the winner of the $100 Home Depot Gift card will be chosen randomly Saturday morning. You have until Friday at Midnight PST to enter.

I have just started collecting red transfer after finding an Enoch Woods dinner plate at a car boot sale. I just love it. It has a farmyard scene.

I love your red, as I'm a red person myself. We have a red door, also. Something about a red door is welcoming, I think. Have a great weekend. Sally

Manuela, all of your reds are amazing. I always covet your transferware collection. I do not have nearly that many pieces. That vintage sconce is stuck in my brain right now though. It's beautiful!

Love the way you use red!

When I painted my porch floor I marked it out, but I kept a piece of cardboard cut to size and used it, too. It is helpful. I'm eager to see yours all done.

I just wanted you to know how much you have inspired me. I have told several people about your blog and all of the wonderful ideas I have read about. Every time I go thrifting I think about you. I am still looking for painting that I can change a little, like you did with the bird painting. That was so clever. Thanks for all of the ideas and inspiration.

Lots of spinning, weaving, and felting! lol I am bubbling over with excitement! Going to keep my mind off visiting Doc, Tues May 5 to plan surgery.( I have gone backward with strength and movement, since my accident. I so hoping he will give me a little time more so I want had the bad bad ole surgery! lol We were going to wait until after this year of surgeries, but I got a great deal on them and they are registered! I just can't wait! We would have picked them up today, but Hubby's first crop of crawfish came in and he sold out in no time! With orders for next week. Yeah! More pond may be in our future! Missed talking to you on a run, making shelves for new dishes and I have my children and grands still here. But I am ready for Bed, Hubby has already gone.
