Bloomin Tuesday!

Please visit Jean for more Bloomin Tuesday posts!

The pretty pink flower down below just appeared one day in my pot of Geraniums! Does anyone know what it is? It seems to open in the day and close up in the afternoon.

The Geraniums are still going strong - gotta do more of these next year!

This is a potato plant blossom - soon there will be potatoes to dig up again (Yukon Golds)

My one Cana that decided to bloom last week. None of the other have bloomed at all this summer. I think we didn't get enough rain for them.

A couple of my roses have one or two blossoms on them again. This is a Cecile Brunner that I have climbing over our barn (well it's a big storage shed that looks like a barn!)

I thought I'd end with my crazy watermelon. This was planted in April and about a month ago I got the beginning of this watermelon. I'm sure the days are too cool now for it to get bigger. I don't know why it took so long!

Could it be a Morning Glory? They open during the day & close at night.

Thanks for stopping by,this is my first time on Bloomin Tuesday.I love your pictures. And hope your watermelon comes through. We did not get any this year. The veggie garden did not do well with all the rain.Have a wonderful day.

Do you overwinter your geraniums? Perhaps it's not even necessary.

Your watermelon story is interesting. I hope that you get to enjoy it.

The Cana answers a question about a flower I took a picture of yesterday. I wondered what it was and now I know!

That could be a 4 o'clock. They usually open in the afternoons.

Looks like a Four o' Clock to me Manuela. Beautiful shade of pink & white combination. Your Cecile Brunner Rose is stunning. Great blooms for Bloomin' Tuesday!

Manuela....that watermelon is awesome! Even if it doesn't get bigger, I bet it will be sweet! Sometimes that happens when you don;t get enough rain. It concentrates the sugars.

I agree with the plant being a four o'clock. We had them when I was growing up!

They are 4 o'clocks, I grown them since childhood. You pick the seed out and plant next spring. But usually they come back each year from their seeds falling to the ground. Its a lovely old plant.

Your flowers are beautiful especially the Cecile Brunner rose. I really like the lone Cana also. However, your watermelon is fabulous.

Soon, I will be able to get Geraniums at the nursery. Every year, I buy quite a few and fill several pots for winter color. Your Geranium is quite pretty, along with the unidentified plant.

Dear Manuela,
I enjoyed seeing all your pretty blooms! Yesterday I was delighted to find a little pumpkin in our garden getting more orange, compliments of our compost pile!

So that's what a four o'clock looks like! I planted some seeds that never grew. You have such an interesting garden.

You never know what nature will do. Just when you think the seasons over it surprises you.

Of course around here in California, I don't think nature know for sure what to do.

It happens a lot to me, when I something is dead and gone it comes back go figure.

I dont know what that pretty pink flower is but isn't it fun when God plants little surprises for us? I have heard that watermelons take a long time to grow, it looks like it might still be edible.

They are 4 o'clocks, at least they look like the ones I had at one time. Beautiful flowers and rises are my favorites. Have a great week.

Manuela,
There you are!! I misplaced your address last spring. Please e-mail me again with it. I have your package for you. I like your new blog and it's great to hear from you again.

Oh also, that could be a four o'clock but it looks like a Mandevilla vine to me. Just my guess.

My guess is it might be a nicotania?? My mom's favorite rose was cecile brunner. I'm gonna plant one in her memory. Your garden is lovely. Mimi
