I had a very eclectic week at Goodwill! I found him....
And added him to them!
I found these monogrammed spoons and forks. None of us have names that start with a "B" but I collect monogrammed silverware and I was just so excited to see some at Goodwill that I bought them for $2.72!
My happiest find all month has been these two items which I found yesterday!
A footed silverplate coffee/tea pot and creamer by Rogers & Bros. Last year I received coffee pot as a Mother's Day Gift and later I bought one myself and sugar bowl. I thought I might start a collection of silverplate coffee pots if I could find ones that I really liked the shape of.
They cleaned up so beautifully!
This one was my Mother's Day present.
This one I bought for myself!
I think they all look pretty together but I don't think I have enough room on that tray to get one more! I think I need a bigger tray! (something else to look for at Goodwill)!
I made two of these pictures a while ago for my dining room and now I want to change things a bit in that room for summer. So I was looking for two identical frames with mats that I could use.
Found them! AND they were 50% off - which is only the second time in my life that I've actually purchased something at Goodwill that was on sale!
I knew I wanted to either use black toile fabric or wallpaper in the the frames and luckily I had a roll of wallpaper that had several nice scenes on it. I chose ones with dogs since we're big dog lovers!
I'm really happy with the way they turned out! They each cost me under $2 and I think they look like wonderful AND I'll have frames to use when I want to change them to something else. There are several online discounters if you don't have a wallpaper store in your town. You can also get wallpaper at great prices on ebay. Of course, you can use whatever you want, but I'm partial to toile!
I have a pretty an easy plate project that I'll be showing this week that will replace the rooster plates in my dining room.
That's it for me! I had a good week at Goodwill!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week everyone!

A great find on all the silver. Maybe I'll keep my silver coffee service after seeing how nice yours looks!
Manuela, I pass by the thrift store and look. Everytime I do pass by I think of you and want to go inside but never do. I promise that next time I go by the thrift shop,I will stop and if I have my camera I will take pix. Have a great week and great shopping as usual.
Nice touch with the frames, I get so many ideas out here in blog land!
Love all of your silver pots, and I would definitely start looking for that bigger tray! Love what you did with your frames too!
Your teapots are beautiful, Manuela. I'm going to start looking for silver pieces!
Great finds ... I love the silverplated teapot! And, what a great idea using toile wallpaper in the frames. I have the same toile print, Laura Ashley House Party, in the fabric I used in my breakfast nook.

I have been wanting a silver tea set for ages. All the ones I come across are so $$$$. You have put together a gorgeous set and have given me a new prospective for how to aquire a set of my own.
Your pictures turned out so cute. I really like how your used the dog sceens out of the toile fabric.
Hope you are well. Have a great week and I look forward to seeing what you do with the plates.

Hi Manuela! I LOVE your tea pots! I love getting out the Wright's Silver Cream and seeing what's underneath old silver...always, it's a tresure! I am finding myself attracted to monograms that are not my own, too! lol Love your toile pictures. After all, they are little scenes, aren't they? I bet your garden is thriving in all of our recent rain! Have a great week!...Debbie
Hi Manuela,
You always ignite the shopping for treasures. Darn it! I think I am cured and there you go again, showing all your cool stuff. What I mean to say is, THANKS!
Rosey

Oh, those are great finds! Love all your silver tea service pieces, they look wonderful all grouped together. And I love what you did with the toile wallpaper too.
Didn't know there were 2 Queen of Hearts. The one we went to is on Canton Hwy., so I guess from your's & Kat's comment, there is also one in Alpharetta. The Marietta one would be closer for you. It's just past the intersection of Piedmont Rd. on the left going north on Canton Hwy.
What a pretty collection of silver! Love how those pictures turned out too!
Manuela...I love it when you frame toile....in fact, I have done so in my home thanks to your creativity!
Hey there! I remember your old blog! I too, have just returned to blogging and have changed my name. If you visit me, maybe you will remember me.
I LOVE the name of this blog! Wish I had thought of it! LOL!
I love all of your finds and will add you to my list so I can come back and see what you are up to. please feel free to visit me as well.
Have a great week!

I also love the pictures w/the toile scenes. The paint and wallpaper transformed them.
What a great time you had thrifting.
Hi Manuela
You certainly did have a good week at Goodwill! But more than yur bargains, what I enjoy is seeing what you do with them. The pictures turned out do beautifully and it was such an easy thing to do. Thanks for all the great ideas. I love tile too!
Hugs, Rhondi
Love those beautiful teapots and silverware! The framed toile is my kind of quick and easy project. May have to copy! I have lots of pics from your blog saved since I love everything you do!
You are so smart! I LOVE the framed toile prints. What a good idea. One of the things I love about toile is how pretty the individual scenes are--and you figured out a way to show that off brilliantly! Great job!
You found some great items and the tea pots cleaned up so beautifully. The frames also looked great with the toile wallpaper. You are so creative and I love it!
I love your finds and those pictures turned out AWESOME, love the black toile idea!
Love the teapots, Manuela. And great idea of framing toile. I have 2 frames similar to yours and just might do that myself! Linda
Oh that's such a good idea for the frames. I need to start taking notes when I'm visiting you! Wonderful teapots and coffee pots, too. It's amazing how well they cleaned up. Wonder if the person who let them go would be surprised by how lovely they look in their new home.

Lou Cinda :)
I am in love with your silver tea pots. I never thought of searching for such things at Goodwill. You are so nifty!
Good stuff today! I loved how pretty the silver cleaned up. Do you use the aluminum foil method?
Wow, I love the silver teapots, and creamer! I have one! All my silver, I loaned out, and never got it back! I had a lot of new and old silver pieces! Love the toile photos! When you take the plate down send it to me! lol You try the ginger in ground, I will try it in the pot for now! I scared to put it in the ground! I going to see in I have anymore eyes on the Ginger root I bought. Got to get some soil and plant more! Mine is near a foot, but the caterpillar keep eating the leaves off, and its on the porch in the pot! I want it to grow so much, I also rooted a pineapple. Its doing good too. I have pussy willow in a glass hoping it will root! I have monogrammed flatware with our initial, did not use it for years. Found it packed away and keep it for family gatherings now. I am so excited I bought new flatware in a pattern that I had a few of that are antique. I found the reproduction of it! Bring it out to show soon.

Your finds for the week were fantastic, once again! Your silver polished up beautifully and your little pictures using the toile are adorable. Missed this week because we were gone, so I have to get out and shop this week. I missed being out and about, but family kept me busy. Hope you have a great week, Manuela!
hugs, Sue
Ah man...my last name starts with "B". Maybe I could find some other monogrammed silverware and trade.
How do you always get so much done? It is amazing to me.
Oh you lucky duck. The silverplate is gorgeous and the pictures made from wallpaper look like engravings for goodness sake! I would NEVER think to do that!!! Good thing I can come here and find such great ideas, way to go Manuela:>)
Oh my I would love to find some silverware in my goodwill...Gosh and another find and my first name starts with a "B"...lol...I want them....no really if you find anymore monogram ones with B or L would you be willing to pick them up for me...I would be glad to send you some money beforehand...Our Goodwill is nothing like yours...guess near Atlanta you do find great things!
Love your teapots...I just got three from my mother this past week. Actually took pics to share...bunch of trays...and other little things.
Love all the goodies you got! Your so lucky!
Dear Manuela -
I'm trying desperately hard to catch up with my bloggy friends. Being away twice in two weeks was nice but it's so hard to catch up with you again! But I made it this far.
Your finds and treasures are wonderful. I love your collection of gnomes. I never see them when I'm out and about. And your monogrammed silver is nice. But I love the silver coffee service. My favorite of your coffee servers is your Mother's Day gift. I like the unusual 'scallops' and design. And then when I thought I'd seen it all - you added your wonderful toile prints. What a great idea. And so perfect! You are a very clever and talented lady, my friend. I'm always anxious to see what you have to share. I'll be back soon. Promise.
~Adrienne~
